A portrait of my children, once a week, every week, in 2013.

Naiya: She loves her changing table. It is really the only place she will let you put her down and stay happy. We’ve also had our first week using cloth diapers. We received all but two of our diapers second hand and I think I have to fix the elastic in a few of the legs so they don’t leak. Other then that, it’s been a good week. It feels good to not being throwing out all those diapers.
Kaiyenna: She LOVES books! I think she stood there for a good 30 minutes “reading” the books in her wagon.
I am excited to join Jodi’s A Portrait a Week project for this year. I need to photograph my children with more then my iPhone!

Love this black and white of Kaiyenna. My son also adores his books and will sit and look through them all. I love the light and the shadows in this photo.

Kaiyenna: Her laugh is so contagious. I love when she get’s going.
Naiya: This is her favorite way to be held. It was Kaiyenna’s favorite too. She went for her check-up this week and is now 10.5 lbs!
Chester: I decided to include my husband this week. He hasn’t cut his beard since before Naiya was born. He has to cut it this week so I wanted to photograph it before it goes. Honestly, I’ll miss it. He is so handsome. =)

Kaiyenna: She hates when we try to do anything with her hair but she will sometime let us put it up while she is eating so that her hair doesn’t “eat her food.”
Naiya: be happy

Kaiyenna: I love how great she plays. Sometimes she wants us to play with her but other times she is happy to play by herself. Lately she has been crawling through her shelving unit.
Naiya: A big yawn at the Bluegrass Festival.

Kaiyenna: She loves the “wewe” (the swing.) She calls it a wewe because she always says weeeee weeeee!
Naiya: She is starting to really look at us and smile these days, especially in the mornings.

Gorgeous photos. This project is so sweet and is gently pushing me to get the camera (or smartphone!) out…

Found you via Che and Fidel. I love how she calls it a ‘wewe’, that is so clever! Such great photos.
